Nestled in the high-altitude landscapes of Chamoli district in Uttarakhand, Mana Village is proudly known as the Last Indian Village near the Indo-Tibet border. Located just 3 km from Badrinath Temple, this picturesque Himalayan settlement offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, mythological heritage, and traditional mountain culture. At an altitude of around 3,200 metres, Mana welcomes visitors with snow-covered peaks, cold mountain breezes, and the warm hospitality of its local Bhotiya community.

Walking through Mana feels like stepping into a living museum of ancient legends. The village is home to some of the most iconic mythological sites such as Vyas Gufa, where Rishi Vyas is believed to have dictated the Mahabharata, and Ganesh Gufa, where Lord Ganesha wrote it down. Another major attraction is the famous Bhim Pul, a natural stone bridge said to be placed by Bhim during the Pandavas’ journey to heaven. The roaring Saraswati River flowing under the bridge creates a dramatic sight, making it one of the most powerful and sacred spots in the region.

The narrow lanes of Mana are lined with traditional stone houses, colourful flags, local tea shops, and handicraft stores selling woolen clothes and herbs. One of the highlights is the iconic “Last Tea Shop of India”, a small tea stall that has become a popular photo point for travellers.

For nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts, Mana serves as the gateway to stunning treks like Vasudhara Falls, Satopanth Lake, and Mata Murti Temple. The calm, pure environment and the breathtaking Himalayan views make the village a perfect place to unwind.

Visiting Mana Village is not just a trip but a soulful experience that combines mythology, culture, and pristine natural beauty—making it one of the most memorable destinations in Uttarakhand.
