As you climb higher, the air becomes crisp and cool, filling your lungs with freshness. The morning light bathes Shimla in a golden glow as you step out after breakfast. The colonial-era buildings stand proud against the backdrop of pine-covered hills. The toy train chugs along narrow tracks, its whistle echoing through valleys. On Mall Road, the aroma of freshly baked goods mingles with the scent of pine, while monkeys playfully swing from trees overhead. At Jakhu Temple, prayer flags flutter in the breeze as you soak in panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. The Ridge buzzes with activity - local families strolling, children playing, and the neo-gothic Christ Church standing majestically against the blue sky.

Today's journey takes you deep into the heart of Himachal Pradesh. As you leave Shimla's colonial charm, the road winds alongside the rushing Beas River, whose crystal-clear waters create a soothing soundtrack. The valley widens and narrows dramatically, with terraced farms clinging to slopes and traditional wooden houses dotting the landscape. Through the vehicle windows, you'll catch glimpses of apple orchards and small villages where time seems to stand still. As you approach Kullu, colorful prayer flags announce your arrival in this spiritual region, before the final stretch reveals Manali nestled in a valley surrounded by towering snow-peaks.

Nearby, the ancient Hadimba temple stands mysteriously in a cedar forest, its wooden architecture telling stories of bygone eras. As afternoon approaches, the sunlight filters through dense pine forests along the Beas River, where families laugh while dipping their feet in the cold, crystal-clear water.
