Adhai Din Ka Jhonpra is one of the oldest and most remarkable historical monuments in Ajmer. Built in the 12th century by Qutub-ud-Din Aibak, it was originally a Sanskrit college that was later transformed into a mosque. The name “Adhai Din Ka Jhonpra” means “shed of two and a half days,” referring to the short time in which it was supposedly constructed. The monument is famous for its stunning Indo-Islamic architecture, featuring intricate stone carvings, tall arches, and beautifully engraved calligraphy. Surrounded by the Aravalli Hills, it stands as a timeless symbol of Ajmer’s rich cultural and architectural heritage.
