Bheem Pul in Mana Village is one of the most fascinating and legendary attractions near Badrinath. This natural stone bridge is believed to have been created by Bhima, the strongest of the Pandava brothers, during their final journey toward heaven, known as the Mahaprasthan. According to the epic Mahabharata, the Pandavas reached the Saraswati River at Mana, but Draupadi struggled to cross the powerful stream. To help her, Bhima lifted a huge rock and placed it across the river, forming a sturdy passage. This massive boulder became the iconic Bheem Pul.

Today, the site draws visitors not only for its mythological significance but also for its dramatic natural beauty. The roaring Saraswati River gushes fiercely beneath the stone bridge, creating a breathtaking sight. The sound of the river hitting the rocks, the cool mountain breeze, and the backdrop of snow-covered peaks make Bheem Pul a perfect place to pause, reflect, and admire the grandeur of nature.

The area around Bheem Pul also features mythologically significant spots like the Saraswati Temple, Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, and the point where the Saraswati is believed to merge with the Alaknanda River. Small local stalls sell tea, snacks, and woollen items, adding charm to this high-altitude Himalayan hamlet.

A short walk from Mana Village leads you to the pul, with well-marked paths and scenic views along the way. As the “Last Village of India,” Mana offers an experience that blends spirituality, mythology, and pristine Himalayan landscapes.

Bheem Pul is more than just a rock bridge—it's a powerful symbol of devotion, strength, and the timeless stories of the Mahabharata, making it a must-visit attraction for travellers coming to Badrinath and Mana.
