Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary, also known as the Kedarnath Musk Deer Sanctuary, is one of the largest protected areas in Uttarakhand, spread across the districts of Rudraprayag, Chamoli, and Pauri Garhwal. Established in 1972, the sanctuary was primarily created to conserve the endangered Himalayan musk deer, but it also protects a wide range of Himalayan flora and fauna.
