Pandupol Hanuman Ji Temple is one of the most revered and scenic pilgrimage sites in the Sariska Tiger Reserve, near Alwar. According to legend, this sacred place is where Lord Hanuman defeated Bheem, one of the Pandavas from the Mahabharata, hence the name Pandupol meaning “Gate of the Pandavas.” The temple houses a large reclining idol of Lord Hanuman and is surrounded by lush hills, waterfalls, and dense forests. Pilgrims often trek or drive through the wildlife sanctuary to reach this peaceful shrine, spotting peacocks, deer, and langurs along the way. It’s a perfect blend of spirituality, mythology, and nature.
